May 10th NW PA Fishing Report

NW PA is coming out of a Big May Chill that hammered the region with high winds and hard rains, playing havoc with fishing across the board. Catches were flying high the end of April – then went downhill as a series of storms swept through the area. But weather is now improving, and so will the fishing. Look for a great crappie bite, outstanding smallmouth bass fishing, white bass action and start of post-spawn walleye bite on many areas waters in the coming couple weeks.

March 15th NW PA Fishing Report

This crazy off-and-on winter is on again right now in NW PA. The February Thaw bite for walleyes, crappies and steelhead has turned off with the cold, wind, snow and thin cover of ice on bays. The 10 day forecast is not encouraging weather wise but by the first of April anglers should expect spring bites to bust loose for crappies, yellow perch and walleyes. Get ready to Go Fish!
