NORTHWEST PENNSYLVANIA FISHING REPORT

            The NW PA Fishing Report provides timely angling information for Crawford, Erie, Mercer
            and Venango Counties – covering all species and all waters open to the public.  The fishing

            comments and photos are offered by regional tackle shops and area anglers, compiled

            vations and opinions of individual contributors; information sources are considered relia-

            This has been one very weird winter with cold and ice arriving in early December, only to

            be followed by repeating cycles of thaw and re-freeze each month. We had an incredibly
            warm late February with many people believing spring was coming extremely early. Not
            me, however, so I am not surprised by this week’s weather
            leading into the First Day of Spring. However, with the Feb
            thaw there was an incredible walleye bite the Allegheny River
            for those who ventured out. Check out the Livewell Page for
            many of photos I could not fit in the individual reports.

            Warmer weather is coming, but for now we can only reflect
            on past seasons to visualize what is ahead.
