SPINNERBAITS FOR RIVER SMALLIES

When high/dirty water pushes river smallmouth tight to shore, few presentations are as effec-

tive as throwing a spinnerbait right up against the bank.

I use a St. Croix Bass X baitcasting rods and an Abu-Garcia Revo baitcasting reel loaded with 12-

pound test Gamma Edge fluorocarbon line, which allows me to work flooded grass and wood
with confidence. Short arm spinnerbaits such as Fitt Custom Lures’ River Rascal are ideal for
