GAMMA Line Tip: The Five Best Waters for the next two weeks.
1. Lake Erie Tributaries – If you are into steelhead fishing, or want to try for the first
time, the stream conditions for next several days look very good.
2. Allegheny River – Unless the water temp drops too quickly, the next week or so
should be very good for smallmouth bass. If temps dip below the mid-40s, go for
walleyes.
3. Pymatuning Lake – Water temp is just right for walleye blade bait bite
4. Shenango River Lake – Crappies seem to be biting better at Shenango than
Pymatuning this fall; with water temp dropping into the 40s, go deep. Expect wall-
eye success to pick up…on blade baits.
5. Justus Lake – Griffin’s Bait and Tackle reminds us that this is a sleeper lake when it
comes to late fall fishing. This lake is home to some big smallmouth bass, walleye
and musky – usually only seen in late fall. Also, trout should be prowling shallower
water.
