March 17 NW PA Fish Report
The ice is gone! We can fish open water! However, with a slightly early than normal ice out, it seems some of the expected ice-out bites are a little slow. I think by this weekend – First Day of Spring – or the latest early next week, angler should be experiencing better bites. Nonetheless, this issue of NW PA Fishing Report is loaded with relevant information. Be sure to check the detailed updates from Area 1 Fisheries Manager Tim Wilson, a discussion of jumbo yellow perch and possibility of a new state record perch from PIB, a huge crappie from Lake Wilhelm and why Woodcock Lake went almost completely dry last week.
