August 23, NW PA Fishing Report
There has been a slowdown in reports from anglers and tackle shops here in PA Great Lakes Region during the last two weeks. Fish are still biting, but anglers seem to on a vacation from fishing right now according to local tackle shops. Actually, the Lake Erie perch bite has picked up considerably, the Erie walleye bite continues strong, Allegheny River smallmouth are on fire and on inland lakes it’s all about bluegills, largemouth bass and catfish. With Labor Day weekend approaching, it’s the perfect time to take the family fishing – just be sure to pick the right species and the best lake. GO FISH!
