March 28, NW PA Fishing Report
The calendar says spring but the weather says winter. Here in NW PA, we have experienced a re-freeze and a second ice-out this month, but there is no sustainable warming in the forecast. However, anglers are working hard to catch some fish, including yellow perch in Presque Isle Bay, steelheads in Erie Tributaries, smallmouth bass in the Allegheny, and maybe, just maybe, enough sun to trigger crappies, bass and other fish in the shallows of area lakes.
