June 3 NW PA Fishing Report

image description

It’s more like mid-July than the first of June here in NW PA. Could be a rough summer on anglers and on fish if we don’t get a cool down and some rain. On the plus side, walleyes are feeding up at Pymatuning and bluegills are on beds. Some nice stripers came from Shenango during the shad spawn; see the picture of a 17 pounder on cover. Crappie fishing is iffy in some lakes. Get ready for summer catfish!
