perch and crappies right up on the shoreline. But water temp around

60 degrees up North, crappies seem to be moving out of the bays. Be
sure to mark your calendar for May 11. Duck-N-Drake will be hosting a
meet-and-greet with two professional walleye fishermen stopping by
to chat with anglers starting at 11:00 a.m. (See photos)

Russ @ Gateway Bait & Tackle; filed 4/22: They are still picking up
good numbers of perch here and there – scattered reports. Some guys
are still getting crappies in and around the big bays including Stewarts

and Red Cross on jigs and minnows. The night walkers on the Cause-
way are getting walleyes on Rapala Minnows.

Patty @ Poff’s Place; filed 4/22: If you know what you are doing, you
                                                                                              Duck n Drake photo
are catching perch and crappies during the day and walleyes in the
evening by wading the shorelines. However, for every successful angler
there are several anglers who come away empty handed. Experience

pays off this time of year. Although I have not seen any at the shop,
I’ve heard reports of some nice muskies being caught; it’s that time of
year that muskies are near the shore spawning.
                                                                                              Poff’s photo
Shon @ Espyville Marina; filed 4/22: With all the rough weather late
last week, I have not had a lot of boats out and I’m not hearing much –
except for perch and crappies in the North End.

Momma Sara @ Linesville Livery; filed 4/22: Seems to be lots of perch
coming in. And the most recent report is the crappies are showing up
in the offshore stump fields. Poff’s photo

RJ Graham (Tionesta); filed 4/20: Foul weather and all, we had a
good day of bass fishing at Pymatuning. Dad and I caught over 40

bass with the largest four going 12 pounds. We caught them by
flipping Chigger Craw on wood and running a Picasso Invis-a-wire
                                    Spinnerbait in pads. (See photos)

Pymatuning a couple days this week for a future episode of Erie Ex- Dave Lefebre
