treme. We caught around 50 bass a day mainly on Terminator’s
Shudder Bait. Also had 11 walleyes from 22 inches to 26 inches tak-
en in four feet of water on a red Rapala Ripping Rap. And we took
home a limit of crappies caught in two feet of water on a 2-inch tube
in the pads; two of the crappies were over 15 inches. (See photos)

Brock Morocco (Sharpsville); filed 4-19: Fighting, landing and
photographing a midnight Musky is a challenge when fishing
alone…but Captain Hook continues to prove his fishing skills with
this 40-inch Pymie Musky which was released after this pic. Also
had my grandson Mason out at Buhl Park on opening day of
trout season where he enjoyed catching some rainbows. Mason

is the 4 living generation of fishermen in our family! (See photo

Mark Ondrusek (Beaver); filed 4-18: The perch have turned on yesterday in the South
End. We were catching them in 2 to 4 feet of water, getting them off the end of my dock
for the first time. Also heard of other reports of perch in shallows in
South End.
Scott Selle; filed 4-15: Here is a pic of a jumbo Pymatuning perch
caught at sunset. The bite was slow with the cold front on Saturday
th
the 13 , however we managed to boat 12 nice perch 12 inches or
longer on jigs tipped with minnows.

Canadohta Lake
Jerry @ Timberland Bait Shop; filed 4/22: Great news. The problem at Canadohta Lake
has been remedied and the lake level is back up. And with return of normal lake level,
the crappies have started biting. We’ve got the bait so stop by for minnows, jigs and
bobbers. Also, there are still a lot of trout in our local streams. We have red worms,
salmon eggs and mealworms, so stop by to pick up what you need, then get out on a
stream for trout action! By the way, Fish Commission had their musky sampling nets in
last week and got a number of very good musky – all returned to the lake! You’ve got
trophies to fish for in Canadohta!
