Norm @ Jamestown Boat Livery; filed 5/6: It’s been a cool, wet
spring so far. But the bite is starting to pick up on the South End of
the lake. Hearing of more walleyes being caught by anglers renting

boats. Also reports of perch and some crappies.
                                                                                            Richter’s photo
Dave @ Richter’s Bait Shop; filed 5/8: Fishing has been good
when you have a decent day. These continual cold fronts have been
knocking the bite for a loop. Down on South End they are starting to
catch some walleyes drifting with crawler harnesses. Crappies are
starting to hit – but need a sunny, calm day. Post spawn musky bite
is back on – lots of muskies in the lake. (See photos)

Laurie @ Duck-n-Drake; filed 5/6: Weather has been unsettling but
recent reports are encouraging. The bite is progressing south, but
still slow in this area of the lake. Hearing about a lot of perch along Duck-n-Drake
                                                                                              photo: Charlie
