with some walleyes. Better crappie catches still coming from

North End of lake. Don’t forget that this weekend on Saturday,
May th11, we will be hosting a FREE walleye seminar starting
at 11:00 am with two pros from the national walleye tourna-
ment tour answering questions from attendees. Stop by this
week for details. Bring your own chairs. (See photos)

Russ @ Gateway Bait; filed 5/6: The wind, rain and cool temps
have really put a damper on Pymatuning fishing success this spring

so far. But the bite is picking up. Crappies are slow; perch are eve-
rywhere. Some walleyes are being caught by trolling plugs – espe-
cially the Berkley Flicker Shad. We need decent weather to get an-
            glers out.

Mike @ Poff’s Place; filed 5/6: Customers are reporting an im-
                                                                                         Darl’s first 2019 crappie
proved bite with a few walleyes being taken during the day. Lots of
nice size perch coming off the Causeway.

Shon @ Espyville Marina; filed 5/6: We have not had very many
rental boats out due to windy and rainy weather almost every day.
They are getting nice perch off the causeway. Some crappies in
North End. Walleye bite has slowed down some, but they are
            getting them here and there.

Sara @ Linesville Marina; filed 5/6: Anglers in the North End have
been catching crappies good one day then slow the next due to in-
consistent weather. Some say shallow as 3 feet. Other anglers say 8
feet. But we are seeing some big crappies this year. Walleyes are
starting to be caught in the stump fields. (See photos)

Brock “Captain Hook” Morocco, Hermitage; filed 5/4: With the
changing weather patterns, the night bite at Pymatuning continues
to be slow. Overall, most fishermen prefer daytime fishing; but night
                                                                                           Linesville Marian photo
has its rewards for both walleye and musky. The calm still waters of
evening along with lack of boat/angler noise provides a nice setting
for fishing. (See photos – walleye bottom right; musky next page)

Scott Selle; filed 5/3: Conditions at Pymatuning on April 27 were
once again difficult with a cold front and high winds. However, my
