May 5 NW PA Fish Report
Unseasonable spring weather continues. As a result, fishing success continues its roller coaster ride. There are some very good bites happening right now – including smallmouth bass in Presque Isle Bay and Lake Erie and hybrid stripers at Shenango Lake. But crappies are up and down from day to day. Walleye bite at Pymatuning in midst of change over from night to day, while the walleye opener in other waters this past weekend was a blow out – and not in a good way. Looking for more stable weather as we move into May.
