Roy Schmidt & friends with PIB perch
SIT Team corrals BIG perch
Richard @ Someday Isle Tackle; filed 4/7: Spring fishing is under way. We fished from
shore and from boat the last couple weeks and caught fish both ways. From shore, all usu-
al spots were productive. The city side of PIB has been putting out some nice perch as well
as many locations on the Park side of Bay. While a lot of boaters were catching good perch
out by the channel entrance, we went shallow and found them in the weeds in 7 to 10 feet
of water. (See photos above)
Roy Schmidt; filed 4/6: Two friends and I hit Presque Isle Bay this past week for perch. It
started slow, but pick ed up a bit later in the day. We were fishing around Buoy Markers 10
and 14, in 25 to 35 feet of water. (See photos above)
MERCER COUNTY
Lake Wilhelm
Vickie @ Fergie’s; filed 4/8: Fergie’s has been sold. There will be tackle auction at the
th
th
store on April 27 . New owners take over on April 30 .
Bo @ BC Bait Co. filed 4/8: A couple of our anglers reported catching good number of
crappies and perch in the bays on the North End of
Pymatuning. They were using BC Terry Bugs and Pick-
worms; blue was the color. The section of Wilhelm by
the old road has been producing a number of bluegills
for anglers over the weekend. We did best on white Ter-
ry Bugs. I took my daughter out on Little Shenango near
Hadley for Mentored Youth Trout Day. She did very well on a bubblegum Pickworm. She
caught some nice rainbows and a few creek chubs. Talked to other young anglers who
were having luck with chartreuse Hadley Worm. (See photos)
