French Creek –Flowing through all four counties

Tabatha @ Myers Sportsman's Connection; filed 9-10: Kayakers are re-
porting a good walleye bite in French Creek. I am also hearing about lots of
panfish being caught on Woodcock Lake. (See photo) Woodcock success

Pete @ Smalliesontheyoug.com; filed 8-31: On August 28 we fished French
Creek for bass. The Creek was low and clear with water temp at 70 degrees. I
caught a bunch of small bass in the 10 to 12 inch range, plus a few in the 15 to

18-inch range. The bite was pretty slow. From there, we headed to the Alle-
gheny River where the bite was better. (See photo)

        CRAWFORD COUNTY

        Pymatuning Lake

Norm @ Jamestown Marina; filed 9-10: Seems like anglers have quit fishing. Lots of wind this
past week, then football on Sunday must be keeping them at home. Dropping water tempera-
tures in next few weeks should bring them back. The boat livery will be open until the end of
        October.

Dave @ Richter’s Bait & Tackle; filed 9-10: It’s been a slow week. Some anglers are still catch-
ing walleyes and muskies in the Shenango River below the dam. Hardly anyone fishing the lake
in past week. Water level is back where it should be this time of year. Cool down should bring

on a better bite for everything.
