Shad, Rapala Shad Rap. I’ve been selling a lot of floating jig heads,
so that must be working too. Not much to report on crappies –
just seem to catching a few, but the ones they are getting are BIG!
I had a customer stop by with 17.25-inch black crappie a couple
days ago. There was a walleye tournament over weekend but did
not hear results. (See photo)
Shon @ Espyville Marina; filed 5/20: I’m seeing some nice wall-
eye finally coming in – better average size than a couple weeks Duck N Drake photo
ago. A couple boaters came in with crappies, but not everyone
is on them. The perch bite has slacked off.
Sam @ Robinson’s Bait; filed 5/20: They were doing good on
walleyes over the weekend. Prime walleye location up North
seems to be in the Stumps with worm harnesses floating jig-
heads. Reports of crappies in 7 to 8 feet of water as well as
shallower in the bays. Bluegills are moving into the shallows.
