Keith @ Dutch Fork Custom Lures & Guide Service; filed 6/13:
Keith from Dutch Fork Lures fished Lake Erie with buddies Shane
and Jeff. We jigged vertical with custom painted spoons in 27 to
30 feet of water, boating many giant sheepsheads, walleye,
smallmouth and catfish. We trolled Ghost Blades and Butterfly
Blades after jigging. We rigged Butterfly Blades on 3-ounce
bottom bouncers, and Ghost Blades on 1-ounce inline weights –
35 to 50 feet behind planer boards. Had a bunch of fish with
Big Drum pull hard
some great friends! If you have never jigged for sheepsheads,
you really should give it try – lots of fish and your arm will hurt! (See photo here and in

MERCER COUNTY
Lake Wilhelm
Vickie @ Bubba Marks; filed 6/24: High water kept many anglers
off the lake recently. But water is down and launching is possible.
Most anglers are seeking bluegills and crappies. And they are
catching some. No word on walleyes.
Brent Hornstrom
Brent Hornstrom; filed 6/23: Beautiful night on Wilhelm. We kept
a dozen nice crappies and threw back many smaller ones. (See photo)
Bo @ BC Baits; filed 6/23: Crappies are still being picked up at Wilhelm
towards the dam in 12 to 20 feet of water using Terry Bugs and Ball-
tails. Bluegill and nice perch are being caught in the bays around the
lake in 3 to 4 feet of water on Terry Bugs and Hadley Worms. A couple
of our pro-staff reported doing well for bass in the stumps using rib-
worms. (See photos) Bo @ BC Baits

near Launch Four. We were using Bobby Garland Itty Bit
